Spring onion Kadhi
Spring Onion kadhi is my innovative recipe of kadhi. Aromatic tadka of,curry leaves, asafoetida and spring onions in ghee is the special feature of this kadhi. Tastes yummy with rice.
Ingredients : 2 liter butter milk ( chhach )
: 4 tea spoon chickpea flour ( besan )
: 2 green chilli slit
: 1/2 tea spoon mustard seeds
: salt to taste
: curry leaves
: pinch of asafoetida
: 1 tea spoon red chilly powder
: 1 tea spoon turmeric
: 2 table spoon Ghee
: 1/4 tea spoon fengureek seeds
: 1 cup spring onions chopped
: green coriander leaves
Mix besan and chhach and make a fine mixture in a blender.
Add red chilli powder, turmeric and salt.
Boil the mixture continuously stirring for 25 minutes.
Heat ghee in a tadka pan. Add mustard seeds, fengureek seeds. When they crackle add curry leaves and asafoetida .
Add onions and green chilli and saute for 2-3 minutes.
Pour this tadka on prepared kadhi.
Garnish with green coriander leaves and serve hot with rice and chapati.
