Colorful fried Idli with veggis
Colorful fried Idli with veggis is my innovative recipe of fried idli. A very delicious and healthy recipe, loaded with veggis. Let us start.
250 gm semolina
250 gm curd
1/2 cup green chutney
1/2 cup tomato chutney
1/4 tea spoon turneric powder
1 sachet eno
1 teaspoon salt
2tsp refined oil
1/2 tea spoon mustard seeds
pinch of asafoetida (hing)
1 tea spoon pasta masala
1/2 tea spoon maggi masala
1 tea spoon lemon juice
2 medium onions chopped
1/2 cup green peas
1 cup cabbage chopped
1 cup capsicum chopped
3-4 curry leaves
Mix Semolina and curd, add salt and keep aside for 30 minutes.
Add little water and make a fine paste. Add Eno 3/4 sachet and mix well.
Immediately divide the batter into four parts.
Keep one part plain,add green chutney and mix to another part, add red chutney to third and mix, add turmeric powder to fourth one and mix well.
Grease the idli molds and pour all the four different color batter in idli stand and steam it for 8 -10 minutes.
Remove the idlis from idli mold and let it cool.
Heat oil in a non stick pan.
Add mustard seeds and hing and curry leaves, add all the veggis and cook stirring for 3-4 minutes, add pasta masala, maggi masala and lemon juice, mix add idli cut into small pieces and stir for 4-5 minutes.
Delicious Colorful fried Idli with veggis is ready.
Serve with tomato ketchup or coconut chutney ( see my previous recipe)
