    Aloo matar (potato with peas) ki sabzi
 aloo matar ki sabzi
Ingredients :
5-6 boiled potatoes ( mashed thickly)
1 onion
1 green chili
5-6 cloves garlic
green coriander leaves chopped
1 cup green peas
1 tomato
2 tbsp refined oil
1/2 tea spoon red chili powder
1 tea spoon coriander powder
1/2 tea spoon garam masala
salt to taste
1/2 tea spoon mustard seeds
pinch of asafoetida
Recipe : Grind onion,garlic and green chili to a coarse paste. Heat oil in a pan. 
Add mustard seeds, when they crackle, add asafoetida and onion paste. 
Saute and cook till the oil gets separated from oil. 
Add  all the spices, salt, saute, add tomatoes and little (1tbsp) water and cover the lid and cook till the tomatoes are cooked. Add green peas and mashed potatoes and add warm water slowly till the consistency of gravy is acquired. 
Cook for 10 minutes. 
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
