A spicy cottage cheese recipe in rich curry, which melts in the mouth.
50 gm paneer (cottage cheese)
2 big onions
2 medium tomatoes
1 tbsp fresh cream
1 green chili
1/2 inch ginger
5-6 cloves garlic
1 tea spoon sugar
1/2 tea spoon red chili powder
1/2 tea spoon garam masala
1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder
salt to taste
2 tbsp refined oil
1/2 spoon cumin seeds
1 cup milk
1/2 tea spoon corn flour
Recipe : Take a vessel half filled with water. Boil the water and add onions (cut into 4 pieces), tomatoes (whole), green chili, ginger and garlic and boil it fo4-5 minutes.
Cool it, drain water and blend it to a smooth paste.
Soak cashew nuts in water for 2 hours and blend it to a fine paste.
Cut paneer into cubes. Heat oil in a pan.
Add cumin seeds, when they crackle, add the onion tomato paste, sugar and cook stirring till it leaves oil . Add all the spices and salt, saute, add cashew nut paste and cook till the oil gets separated.
Add cream and cook for 2 minutes.
Dissolve the corn flour in milk and add it to the gravy and cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes stirring.
Add the paneer and cook for 3 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and cream and serve hot.
