A very tasty, crispy, flaky Indian dry snack.
3 cup wheat flour
1 cup semolina
1/2 tea spoon cardamom powder
1 tea spoon sesame seeds
2 cup jaggery soaked in 2 cup water for 3-4 hours
1 cup ghee
refined oil for deep fry
Recipe : Take wheat flour, add semolina, cardamom powder, sesame seeds, ghee and mix well.
Now knead a tight dough with the help of jaggery water as per requirement.
Keep it aside covered with a wet cloth for half an hour.
Knead again properly to a smooth dough.
Now make balls of the dough and roll them with the help of rolling pin.
Cut with a sharp knife horizontally and then vertically.
Now heat oil in a pan.
Deep fry them on a low flame till brown in color. Tasty shakarpare are ready.
