We all know the benefits of oats.Fibre rich and excellent for weight loss. Today, I am sharing the recipe of Oats Idly, a yummy and healthy breakfast.
2 cup saffola plain oats
1 cup semolina
1 cup curd
3/4 eno sachet
salt to taste
1 onion (white) chopped
1 green chili chopped
1 tea spoon white lentil soaked for 1 hour
1/2 tea spoon mustard seeds
4-5 small curry leaves
1 tbsp refine oil
Recipe : Grind the oats into powder.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, white lentil,onions and green chili and saute till the onions become transparent.
Add semolina and roast till it gives nice aroma, add oats powder and roast for 4-5 minutes.
Turn off the gas.
let it cool.
Now add curd,salt and water and make a fine batter.
Add eno powder, pour some water on eno and mix well.
Now pour the batter in greased idly stand and steam the idly for 10 minutes.
Serve with coconut chutney.
A very healthy and tasty breakfast.
