Sweet mathri is a delicious, flaky, crispy snack for evening hunger. Recipe is just like maida matri, we just need to add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, sesame seeds and milk, instead of salt and celery seeds. Can be prepared on festivals like Holi, Diwali and Karwa chauth.
2 cup Maida ( all purpose flour )
1/2 cup ghee
1 tbsp sesame sweet
3/4 cup sugar powder
1 cup milk
1/2 tea spoon cardamom powder
refined oil for deep fry ( as per requirement )
Recipe : Add ghee, cardamom powder and sugar powder to maida and mix well.
Now knead a tight dough with the help of milk.
Cover it with damp cloth and keep for 1/2 hour.
Make small balls of dough, cover them with sesame seeds on both the sides and make small mathri with the help of rolling pin.
Prick it with the help of knife.
Deep fry them on low flame till golden in color.
Let them cool completely and then fill them in an air tight container.
Tasty mathri is ready.
Can be used for 10-15 days.
