 Pulao- onion potato

Sharing today, a tasty and healthy recipe of Pulaov made with   onions and potato and garnished with dry fruits. Tastes great with Raita.

Ingredients :
1 cup (100 gm approx.) boiled Basmati rice
1 medium potato peeled and sliced
1 medium onion sliced
7-8 cashew-nuts
10-12 raisins
1 teaspoon tutti fruity
2 small cardamom
1 big cardamom
2-3 cloves
¼ teaspoon Garam Masala
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
1 bay leaf
2 tbsp refined oil/ ghee
Salt to taste

 Recipe :Heat oil/ghee in a non-stick pan. 

Add cumin seeds, when they crackle, add all the dry spices and onions, sauté for 2 minutes, add cashew nuts, sauté for 2 minutes, add potatoes and sauté till they are cooked.
Add boiled Basmati rice, tutti fruti, raisins, Garam Masala and salt to taste and mix well, sauté for 2 minutes and turn off the gas. 
Tasty Pulaov is ready.

Note : For boiling rice, add 2 cups water in 1 cup rice and add 1 tea spoon ghee, ¼ tea spoon salt and boil till they are ¾ cooked, strain the water and cover it and keep for 5-7 minutes
