Gajar ka Halwa
Gajar ka Halwa is a Famous Indian Sweet dish, prepared during winters when sweet and fresh carrots are available in the Market. You need to choose sweet and juicy carrots for this halwa, to give it that authentic taste. Some people also use mava to make it instant, but if you cook it in milk to form mava, it gives an awesome taste.
2 kg carrot peeled and grated
2 kg Milk with cream
dry fruits 200 gm
cardamom powder 1 tea spoon
ghee 100 gm
Sugar 400 gm
Mix carrot and milk in a non stick pan and cook on a high flame continuously stirring till the milk becomes thick (mawa).You can also use mava if you want to go for instant one.
Add sugar dry fruits cardamom powder,ghee and cook till the sugar water evaporates and halwa leaves ghee.
Tasty Gajar ka Halwa is ready.
Garnish with dry fruits and serve hot or refrigerate and serve cold.
