Malpua recipe is an authentic Indian sweet dish prepared on Holi and Diwali. Generally, mava is used to prepare them. But, I am sharing a recipe of Malpua without mava, and it is really delicious and melts in your mouth. Very easy recipe. Please share your experience in the comments below. Let us start.
1,1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 cup milk
½ cup cream
½ tea spoon cardamom powder
Pistachio for garnish
1 cup all purpose flour (Maida)
Ghee for deep fry (as per requirement)
3-4 saffron threads soaked in warm water
Take all purpose flour, add milk and cream to it and blend it in a blender for 5 minutes and keep it for an hour.
You can add more milk if desired consistency is not acquired. Add water, saffron with water and cardamom powder to sugar and cook till it becomes one string syrup.
Now heat a non-stick pan, add 1 tbsp ghee to it and spread the flour mixture in round shape and cook it on low flame from both the sides, till the sides become crispy.
Prepare all the malpua in same manner by adding 1 tbsp ghee to the pan, so ghee is not wasted.
Dip the hot pua to sugar syrup for 2 minutes and remove it from syrup and keep it on a plate.
Garnish with pistachio and serve hot.
