This vegetable can be prepared when there is no vegetable in the house, and you need a change in taste from routine vegetable. Quick and easy recipe.
1/2 cup moong dal badi ( mangodi)
1/4 cup spring onions cut into small pieces
1/2 cup hung curd
1 green chili chopped
12 tea spoon red chili powder
1/4 tea spoon turmeric powder
14 tea spoon coriander powder
1/2 tea spoon maggi masala
1/2 tea spoon cumin
salt to taste
2 tbsp refined oil
Recipe : Break the chunks into small pieces.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan, add the chunks and stir fry them till golden in color.
Keep them aside.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in the same pan, add cumin seeds, when they crackle, add spring onions and green chili and saute for 2-3 minutes.
Mix all the spices in a bowl, add tbsp water and make a paste. Add the paste to the onions and cook stirring till the mixture leaves oil, add the chunks, salt to taste saute.
Add 3/4 cup water and cover the lid and cook for 3- 5 minutes. turn off the gas.
Add hung curd and mix well.
Serve with chapati or parantha.
