Dal Dhokli is an Indian traditional recipe, or Indian pasta. In pasta we use vegetables, and in dal dhokli, we use lentil . The creamy texture without any cream or sauce and the aromatic tadka of ghee makes the taste awesome. So let us start.

Ingredients:

½ cup pigeon lentil ( arhar dal )
½ cup wheat flour
½ cup spring onions
1 green chilly chopped
2-3 curry leaves
½ tea spoon red chilly powder
¼ tea spoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp cow ghee
½ tea spoon mustard seeds
 Pinch of asafoetida
2 tea spoon refined oil
1 tea spoon lemon juice

Recipe:

Add red chilly powder, turmeric and salt to taste to arhar dal and cook it for 3 whistles. 
Add 2 tea spoon refined oil and salt to taste to wheat flour and knead a hard dough. 
Open the pressure cooker, add 1 glass water and boil it on low flame. 
Make small balls of dough and roll them very thin chapati. Cut it into square pieces and add them to the boiling dal. 
When all the dhoklis are added to the dal, cover the lid and cook for 2 whistles. Let it cool. 
Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a tadka pan, add mustard seeds, when they crackle, add asafoetida, curry leaves and green chilly, sauté, add spring onions, sauté for 2-3 minutes and pour the tadka on dhokli. 
Yummy and healthy Dal dhokli is ready.
Serve hot.
