Try this new yummy chilla chaat, it is just awesome. Can be prepared with ingredients available in every home. Best snack to push some thing nutritious in kids.Best use of leftover chilla. You can make fresh also, it is quick and easy. So let us start.
1 cup chickpea flour ( besan)
1/4 cup coriander leaves chopped
1/2 inch ginger
1 green chilly
1/2 tea spoon red chilly powder
1/4 tea spoon turmeric powder
salt to taste
1 big onion
1 big tomato
1 cup Moong sprouts
2 tbsp green coriander chutney
tomato ketchup ( as per requirement and taste )
chaat masala 1/4 tea spoon
1 tbsp nylon sev
Recipe : Soak 1 cup moong in 2 cup water in the morning .
At night strain the water and tie them in a thin cotton cloth tightly and keep the cloth in a caseroll and cover the lid.
In the morning, you will get the moong sprouts ready.
Boil 2 cup water in a vessel, add the sprouts and boil them for 2 minutes.
Turn off the gas and strain the water and let it cool.
Grind the ginger and chilly to a coarse paste.
Add it to chickpea flour, along with red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt to taste, add 2 cup water and make a smooth batter with no lumps.
Keep it aside for an hour.
Meanwhile finely chop the onions, remove the pulp of tomatoes and chop them too.
Now add chopped green coriander leaves to the batter mix well. heat a non-stick pan, pour 1 tbsp batter and spread it evenly. Add some oil around the chilla and turn it upside down.
Cook till golden in color from the other side also.
Prepare all the chilla in the same way. let them cool.
Take a bowl, add sprouts, onions, tomato, green chutney and salt to taste and mix well.
Take a plate, make small pieces of chilla and spread them in the plate.
Spread the prepared mixture over it evenly, spread tomato ketchup as per taste, garnish with nylon sev and serve immediately.
Yummy chilla chaat is ready.
