Saffola Masala Oats recipe
Saffola Masala Oats is a very healthy and yummy another recipe of oats, Saffola Masala oats with Indian flavor. There are lots of vegetables added, to make it healthier. I have used Saffola plain oats, combined with lots of veggies and Indian spices. Tasty and Healthy treat for everyone. Perfect recipe for weigh loss, if included in daily diet. Specially for health conscious people.
1 cup Saffola plain oats
3 cups water
1/4 cup green peas
1/4 cup carrot cut into small pieces
1/4 cup capsicum chopped
1/4 cup spring onions chopped
1/2 small tomato chopped
1 green chilly chopped ( optional )
green coriander leaves for garnish
1 tea spoon Maggi Masala
1/2 tea spoon red chilly powder
1/4 tea spoon turmeric powder
salt to taste
1/4 tea spoon dry mint leaves powder
1 tea spoon rice brain oil ( you can skip if you don t want )
Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add green chilly and spring onions, saute, add all the vegetables, saute for 2-3 minutes.
Add all the spices and salt to taste except mint powder, mix well, add tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes.
Now add 3 cups hot water and cook on medium flame for 3 minutes.
Add Saffola oats, mix well to avoid lumps, cook for 7-8 minutes on low flame.
Turn off the gas, sprinkle dry mint powder, mix well.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
Note : If you are not using oil, just boil 3 cups water with all the spices and salt, add vegetables and cook for 3 minutes, the add oats and cook for 7-8 minutes. Keep the vegetables half- cooked,for the crunchy taste.
