Instant Rava dosa – How to make Instant crispy rava dosa
This Instant Rava Dosa recipe is easy and does not require any fermentation. I have stuffed it with Mysore dosa stuffing of chickpea lentil, which gives it a very amazing taste without any Sambhar. You can serve it with coconut chutney. I have used butter to fry, you can also use refined oil if you don t wan t to have butter. A very delicious breakfast recipe in short span of time.
Ingredients for dosa :
1/2 cup rice flour
1/2 cup semolina
1/4 cup all purpose flour ( maida )
2-3 cup water approx.
salt to taste
butter or refined oil for shallow fry ( as per requirement )
Ingredients for stuffing :
1/2 cup chickpea lentil ( soaked in water overnight )
1 green chili chopped
1 medium onion chopped
1/2 tea spoon red chili powder
3/4 tea spoon cumin coriander powder
1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder
1/2 tea spoon lemon juice
1 tbsp green coriander leaves chopped
salt to taste
1/2 tea spoon cumin seeds
pinch of Asafoetida
1 tbsp refined oil
Mix all the flour and salt to taste and water and make a thin batter. Keep it aside.
Boil the soaked chickpea lentil for 10 minutes and drain the water. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add cumin seeds, when they crackle, add Asafoetida and chopped onions and green chili and saute till they turn translucent.
Add all the spices along with salt and mix well.
Add chickpea lentil and lemon juice and mix well and turn off the gas.
Mix chopped green coriander leaves and keep aside.
Now heat a non-stick dosa tava or you can use non-stick frying pan also, but the dosa size will be small.
Keep the flame high, mix the batter well and slowly pour it over the pan in round shape.
When the edges becomes crispy, medium the flame and add butter/refined oil on the sides and over the holes of dosa, spread it well.
Now spread some stuffing on dosa, cover it from both the side and serve hot with coconut chutney.
Instant crispy masala dosa is ready for breakfast.
Note : Just take care of batter, if you feel dosa is not very crispy, add little more water and mix the batter well before pouring it on the pan.
