Veggie burger recipe
Veggie Burger is all time favorite snack of today s generation. Today, I am going to share a veggie burger recipe in two ways.
One with potato tikki & another with raw banana tikki.
Both are tasty. If you skip onion from banana tikki, it will become a Jain Burger.
Jain recipes include raw banana in place of potatoes.
It tastes amazing. I ate raw banana paratha in my friend’s house, it just tastes like Aloo paratha. But choice is yours. Let us start.
3 fresh bun
1 big tomato sliced
1 cucumber sliced
1 big white onion sliced
Tomato ketchup/ mayonnaise ( as per requirement )
3 raw banana / 3 big potatoes
1 tbsp plain oats / all purpose flour
1 medium onion chopped
½ small capsicum chopped
green coriander leaves chopped
1 tea spoon red chili powder
¼ tea spoon garam masala
¼ tea spoon dry mango powder
¼ tea spoon dry mint powder
½ tea spoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Refined oil for shallow fry ( as per requirement )
Boil potatoes/ raw bananas for 1 whistle. Strain the water and let them cool.
Peel the skin and mash them properly.
If you are making potato tikki, add 1 tbsp all purpose flour or cornflour to the mashed potatoes.
If you are making raw banana tikki, toast the oats on a non-stick pan on low flame for 5 minutes.
Let them cool.Grind them to a fine powder.
Add it to the mashed banana.
Add all the spices, chopped onions, capsicum, green coriander leaves and mix well.
Apply some oil to your palms and make round tikki with help of your hands.
Heat a non-stick pan.
Pour 1 tbsp refined oil to it.
Shallow fry all the tikkis till golden brown from both the sides on low flame.
Cut the bun from center vertically. Place some cucumber, tomato & onion slice.
Then place the prepared potato or banana tikki.
Again place some cucumber, tomato & onion slice.
Spread some tomato ketchup or mayonnaise and serve immediately.
Tasty Veggie Burger is ready.
