This is an innovative recipe made from leftover idly. Spicy dal stuffing and the tadka over it with crispy capsicum rings gives it a good taste. So let us start.

Ingredients :
4-5 semolina idly (recipe link for idly https://www.recipesspots.com/2016/01/idli-sambhar-chutney.html )
½ cup chickpea lentil soaked in warm water for 3 hours
½ tea spoon green chilly, ginger, garlic paste
1 onion chopped
½ tea spoon red chilly powder
½ tea spoon turmeric powder
¼ tea spoon garam masala
Salt to taste
3 tbsp refined oil
½ tea spoon mustard seeds
½ tea spoon sesame seeds
½ tea spoon cumin seeds
Pinch of asafoetida
Capsicum rings for garnish

Recipe : Grind the soaked dal in mixture to a coarse paste, add some water and make a semi liquid batter. 
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan, cumin seeds, when they crackle, add onions, sauté for 2 minutes.
Add ginger garlic paste, sauté for 2-3 minutes, add all the spices and batter and cook continuously stirring till the mixture leaves the edges of pan. 
Turn off the gas. 
Now remove the center part of idly with the help of a knife, so it looks like a bowl. 
Fill the mixture in the idly bowls. 
Now heat 1 tbsp oil in a tadka pan, add mustard seeds, sesame seeds and asafoetida.
Turn off the gas and pour the tadka on idly bowls. 
Garnish with capsicum rings and serve with tomato ketchup or chutney.
