This is a popular tea-time snack of Gujarat and Maharashtra. It is specially prepared on the Festival of Diwali. Very easy recipe, made from beaten paddy, peanuts, dry fruits and normal spices.

Ingredients :
250 gm beaten paddy
20 peanuts
10 cashew nuts
10-15 raisins
4-5 curry leaves
2 green chili chopped
1 tea spoon red chili powder
1 tea spoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp roasted chick pea slit
Refined oil for deep fry
Recipe : Heat oil in a pan. 
Take a strainer, add some beaten paddy to it and dip it in the hot oil for deep fry, and remove it from pan as soon as the beaten paddy gets fried. 
You need to deep fry them on high flame. 
Keep all the deep fried beaten paddy on a news paper, so all the extra oil gets absorbed. 
Now deep fry the cashew nuts, peanuts, curry leaves, green chili and chickpea splits in the same manner and mix them into the fried poha. 
Add raisins, red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt to taste and mix well. 
Let it cool. Fill it in a air tight container and can be used for a week.
Note : If you like little sweet flavor, you can also add powdered sugar to taste.
