Aloo Kofta recipe

   Aloo Kofta recipe

A very simple, easy and popular recipe of aloo kofta for tea snack and breakfast. I have added green peas and pomegranate seeds, which make it healthy and good looking. In South, this dish is called bonda and in Maharashtra, it is called batata vada.
Ingredients :
5 potatoes boiled and peeled
1 cup chickpea flour
¾ cup water
½ cup green peas
1 tbsp pomegranate (de seed )
Green coriander leaves chopped
¼ tea spoon fennel seeds
¾  tea spoon red chilly powder
1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder
Pinch of dry mango powder
Pinch of garam masala
Salt to taste
Refined oil for deep fry ( as per requirement)

Recipe : Add ¼ tea spoon red chilly power, ¼ turmeric powder, fennel seeds, salt to taste and ¾ cup water to chickpea flour and make a fine batter and keep it for 1 hour.
Now mash the boiled potato, add green peas, pomegranate seeds, all the spices and salt to taste and mix well.
Make small balls of the mixture.
Add chopped green coriander leaves to the batter ( can also add some more water if it is thick ).
Heat oil in a pan. Dip the potato balls in the batter and deep fry them on medium flame till light brown in color.
Serve hot with ketchup.
