This recipe is prepared with black chickpea, goes well with bhature also. Spicy and yummy flavor of onions,garlic,green chilli and tomatoes and garam masala.
Ingredients :
1 cup black chickpea
2 medium onions
2 medium tomatoes
2-3 cloves garlic
½ inch ginger
1 green chilly
2 tbsp refined oil
1 tea spoon red chilly powder
2 tea spoon coriander cumin powder
1 tea spoon turmeric powder
½ tea spoon garam masala
Salt to taste
½ tea spoon cumin seeds
Pinch of asafoetida
½ tea spoon lemon juice

Recipe : Soak chickpea in water overnight. 
In the morning, cook it in pressure cooker for 2-3 whistles. Make a paste of garlic, green chilly and ginger. 
Chop the onions in a chopper. 
Dip tomatoes in hot water for 10 minutes, remove the skin. Make puree of tomatoes. 
Now heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, when they crackle, add asafoetida, then ginger, garlic and chilly paste and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
Add chopped onions and cook stirring till the mixture leaves the edges of pan, add all the spices along with salt to taste.
Mix well, add tomato puree and cook till the mixture leaves oil. Add the boiled chickpea and mix well, cook for 4-5 minutes stirring. 
Add lemon juice and mix well. Serve hot with roti, parantha or puri, can be served with bhature also.
