I have tried this thin crust Pizza made from wheat flour, without using any baking soda, baking powder or yeast. It is totally healthy, yummy and quick recipe of Pizza .Along with oregano and chilly flakes, I have used some dry mint leaves powder and roasted cumin powder also, you can skip it if you don t like it. I have used the vegetables in two ways, in one pizza, I have chopped them, while in another pizza, I have cut them in rings, which gives a beautiful look to pizza. You can use in your choice shape.I have also stuffed the pizza layer with cheese, which gives a more yummy taste to it. It really came out so good.It does not require microwave also. So let us start.
time - 25 minutes
Servings - 2 medium pizza
1 cup wheat flour
1 tea spoon oil
salt to taste
1/2 cup grated Mozeralla cheese
Ingredients for toppings :
1 big capsicum
1 big onion
1 big tomato
1/2 cup Pizza sauce or tomato ketchup ( preferred tomato ketchup for healthy)
1/2 tea spoon oregano
1/2 tea spoon red chilli flakes
1/4 tea spoon roasted cumin powder ( optional)
1/4 tea spoon dry mint powder ( optional )
salt to taste
1 cup grated Mozzarella cheese
Recipe instructions :
Mix all the ingredients of dough and knead a hard dough like puri with the help of water.
Cover it with a damp cloth and keep aside.
Cut the onion, tomato and in thin rings and capsicum in julienne.
Knead the dough finely once again.
Make two balls out of it, take one ball and roll it with the help of a rolling pin, spread 1/4 cup Mozzarella cheese on it, cover it from all sides like a parantha and roll it again in a circle shape. Put two light cuts with the help of knife.
Heat a non stick pan, toast the pizza base lightly from one side and perfectly from the other side.
Turn off the gas. Let it cool little.
Spread the pizza sauce or tomato ketchup evenly on the pizza base.
Place the vegetable rings, add grated cheese 1/2 cup, sprinkle salt to taste, chilly flakes, oregano,mint powder, cumin powder. Now heat the non-stick pan on medium flame for 5 minutes. Place the pizza on it and reduce the flame to low, cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
Yummy and healthy , thin crust wheat pizza is ready to serve.
