Dalia is cooked in almost every home in India. Dalia is rich source of fiber, protein and manganese.
Aids in weight loss also. It also helps to balance blood sugar in your body. A good source of energy and prevents constipation. Mostly it is cooked in the form of porridge. Some children don t like to eat it. Many times there is leftover Dalia in the kitchen. I am sharing a simple recipe of Dalia cheela, which you can serve to non-Dalia eater in a delicious form. So let us start.
Ingredients :
2 cup cooked Dalia
3/4 cup semolina
2 tbsp curd
1 tea spoon milk
1 medium onion chopped
1 green chili chopped
some green coriander leaves chopped
1 medium tomato ( remove the pulp and chop finely )
1/2 tea spoon red chili powder
1/4 tea spoon turmeric powder
salt to taste
refined oil/cow ghee for shallow fry ( as per requirement )
Recipe : Take 2 cup cooked Dalia in a bowl. Add all the spices to it.
Add 3/4 cup semolina, 2 tbsp curd and mix well. 
Add the chopped onions, tomatoes, green chili & coriander leaves.

Use a blender to mix it well just for a minute otherwise it will become clumsy.
Keep it for half an hour. Mix once again, add 1 tea spoon milk to it.
If you find the batter thick, can add some more milk.
Heat a non-stick pan on high flame. Pour one ladle batter over it and spread it carefully.

Low down the flame and let it cook for five minutes on low flame.
Add few drops of oil/ghee to the edges of cheela and let it cook for 2 more minutes.

Turn the cheela. Add few drops of oil/ghee and cook it on low flame for five to seven minutes.

Tasty and healthy Dalia breakfast is ready.
 Everyone would love to have this recipe of Dalia. 
Note : It sounds unbelievable to make cheela from Dalia, but if you take care of some tips it is possible. Take care the batter is not too thick and not very liquid. First keep the flame high at the time of pouring batter, then cook it on low flame, it will take time to become crispy.
