Lauki ( bottle gourd ) is a very healthy vegetable everyone should eat. But many people don't like it. It is very useful in weight loss, constipation, urinary problems, sleeping disorders, inflammation of liver and has very cooling effect. Earlier, i have shared many innovative recipes of Lauki.Today, I am sharing Lauki Paratha recipe, which is very delicious and every age group will like it. So let us start.
Ingredients :
1 cup peeled and thickly grated lauki in a bowl of water
1 small onion
1/2 green chili
1 tea spoon refined oil
3/4 tea spoon red chili powder
1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder
1/4 tea spoon dry mint powder
salt to taste
1/4 tea spoon dry mango powder (optional, I don t use it )
1/2 cup wheat flour
1 tea spoon refined oil
cow ghee/refined oil for shallow fry ( prefer ghee for best taste )

Recipe : Chop the onion and green chili finely. You can also use spring onions.
Heat 1 tea spoon oil in a non-stick pan. 
Add chopped onions, saute, add green chili and saute till onions turn translucent.
Lauki Paratha Recipe

Add all the spices, salt to taste, mix well.
Add grated lauki and cook on medium flame till the moisture evaporates.
Turn off the gas. let it cool.
Add 1 tea spoon oil to wheat flour and salt to taste and knead a medium dough.
Make round balls with the help of your palms.
Roll the ball with a rolling pin in  round chapati.
Apply some ghee, spread some mixture of Lauki evenly.
Roll it as shown in the picture and make a round ball.

Now roll it again with light hands in round shape.
Heat a skillet. Shallow fry it from both the sides till golden in color.
Serve hot with chutney, pickle of ketchup.
Delicious Lauki Paratha are ready.
Note : I have prepared in small quantity, just 2 paratha. You can increase the quantity according to your requirement.
