4 small bread slice
2 cup semolina
1,1/2 cup butter milk
1 cup spring onion
½ cup capsicum
1 cup green peas
½ cup carrot
1 tbsp refined oil
½ tea spoon red chili powder
¼ tea spoon turmeric powder
½ tea spoon coriander cumin powder
Salt to taste
½ cup green coriander leaves
1 green chili finely chopped ( optional)
First, soak the semolina in buttermilk for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, chop all the vegetables in a chopper separately.
Heat 1 tbsp refined oil in a non stick pan.
Add onions, sauté for 2 minutes, add capsicum and sauté for 2 minutes.
Now mix green peas, sauté for 1 minute, add carrot and all the spices and salt to taste and cook on low flame for 2 minutes stirring continuously.
Let it cool.
Mix salt to taste to the semolina batter, add chopped green chilli and coriander leaves and mix well. It should be medium in consistency, neither thick nor thin.
Next, take bread slices and remove their edges with the help of a sharp knife.
Fill the mixture between two bread slices, and cut them in a sandwich shape from the center.
Dip the ready sandwich in the batter and place them carefully in a non-stick sandwich maker.
Repeat the process, close the lid and let it cook for 4-5 minutes.
Yummy and healthy bread pakora is ready to serve.
Serve with tomato ketchup or chutney.
