Aloo recipe is a very common and popular recipe. Potatoes are all time favorite
of all age group people, specially kids will never deny for a potato dish.
Today, I am sharing Jeera Aloo recipe in my style. I hope you all will like it.

Preparation time - 20 minutes
Servings – 4 servings
Recipe ingredients:
5-6 potatoes
1 cup spring
onions cut into pieces
1 green chili
1 tbsp green
coriander leaves
4-5 curry
leaves
2 tbsp
refined oil
¾ tea spoon
lemon juice
½ tea spoon
turmeric powder
½ tea spoon
roasted cumin powder
½ tea spoon
cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Pinch of
asafoetida
Recipe instructions:
First, Take potatoes in a pressure cooker, add water and ¼ tea spoon of salt and boil them
for 1 whistle. Let them cool. Peel off the skin and cut them into cubes.
Clean the
spring onions and cut them into small pieces, chop the green chili and
coriander leaves.
Now heat a
non-stick pan, add 2 tbsp refined oil,
add cumin seeds, when they crackle, add asafoetida and curry leaves, then green chili and spring onions and saute for 2-3 minutes.
Mix potato
cubes, salt to taste , turmeric powder and roasted cumin powder and saute for 4-5
minutes.
Sprinkle
lemon juice and mix well. Yummy Jeera Aloo recipe is ready.
Garnish with
coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati, puri or paratha.
