Cheese Chila Sandwich is a yummy and healthy breakfast recipe.
Made this Sandwich with chickpea flour chila, Cheese slice and veggies. It is not only delicious and healthy, but also looks colorful and beautiful, kids will love it. Can be prepared with ingredients available in the house, in a short span of time. So, let us start.
4 Sandwich Bread slices
1/2 cup chickpea flour
1 Green chili finely chopped
Some cilantro chopped
1/4 tea spoon red chili powder
pinch of turmeric powder
salt to taste
1 medium onion finely chopped
1 small tomato ( pulp removed and chopped )
1/2 capsicum chopped
1/2 tbsp refined oil
1 tbsp butter or cow ghee
2 Cheese slices
1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
Take 1/2 cup chickpea flour in a bowl, add half chopped onions, green chili, cilantro ( optional) , red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt to taste and make a fine batter with the help of approx. 1 cup water.
Keep it for half an hour.
Heat a non-stick pan. Spread a ladle of batter in round shape evenly.
Add some oil around it, turn, add some oil on the other side also and press gently with a spatula to it gets properly cooked.
Prepare all the chila in same way. Let them cool.
Mix chopped tomatoes, onions and capsicum and add black pepper powder and some salt to it and keep aside.
Take bread slices, don't remove the edges, because if we do so, the size of bread will reduce.
Apply butter or cow ghee on one side of all the slices.
Now cut the chila in two pieces from the center.
Cut the Cheese slice from center in triangle shape.
Finally, keep the butter side outside, spread half chila on half portion of bread, place Cheese slice, add vegetables and cover it with chila.
Repeat the process for other half side of bread as shown in the picture.
Cover the Bread slice with other bread slice keeping the butter side on the outer side.
Keep the Bread carefully in a Sandwich toaster and cook it for 2-3 minutes.
Delicious Cheese Chila Sandwich is ready.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
