Recipes for kids are short and sweet healthy recipes for kids. Kids don’t eat vegetables, milk, dry fruits and many more things. I have tried to make these recipes, yummy and healthy and also make them look beautiful, so that kids get attracted towards them. They are quick and easy to prepare.

Tutti frutti Pulao

 

Recipe ingredients:
1 cup basmati rice
1 medium onion sliced
2 cup water
1 tbsp tutti frutti
1 tbsp cow ghee or refined oil
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
Salt to taste
Cherry for garnish

Wash the rice, strain the water and keep aside.
Heat 1 tbsp cow ghee or refined oil in a pan.
Add ½ teaspoon cumin seeds. When they crackle, add sliced onions and saute till they become transculenct.
Now add the washed rice and saute for 2 minutes.
Add cumin powder, salt to taste and tutti frutti and mix well.
Pour 2 cups water, cover the lid and cook on low flame till the water evaporates.
Transfer the tutti frutti pulao to a plate, garnish with cherry and serve hot.

Bottle gourd Jam
Kids are very fond of Jam. You can push some nutrition into them by making this healthy bottle gourd Jam which tastes just like fruit jams and has lovely color. Tell them it is a fruit jam, they will not realize that it is a vegetable jam. You can also make Pumpkin Jam with the same procedure.

Recipe ingredients:
250 gm bottle gourd
¾ cup approx. sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Recipe instructions:
Peel the skin of the bottle gourd, remove the pulp and cut into pieces.
Make sure the Bottle gourd is not very tender, otherwise it will not taste very good.
Boil it for 10 minutes on high flame. Turn off the gas and cover it with a lid for 5 minutes.
Strain the water and make a smooth paste in a mixer.
Heat a pan, add the bottle gourd paste and sugar to it and cook on medium flame stirring.
We need to take half the quantity of sugar compared to bottle gourd.
Add one teaspoon lemon juice and cook the mixture till it thickens and it clings to a spoon but falls in clumps.
Let it cool completely.
Ladle Jam into clean and dry glass container. Refrigerate for a week.

Honey Banana ice cream

Honey Banana  ice-cream is prepared with natural ingredients, no sugar added, no cornflour or custard powder, so totally healthy and yummy. 

Recipe Ingredients :
5 ripe bananas
2 tbsp fresh cream
500 ml gold milk with cream
honey according to taste
walnuts

Recipe instructions :  
Cut the bananas horizontally and remove the center black part of it. 
Refrigerate them for 5 hours. 
Boil the milk continuously stirring till it becomes 3/4 in quantity.
Let it cool. 
Now blend the refrigerated bananas for 15 minutes, add cream and milk and blend for 5 minutes. 
Add honey to taste and keep it in the freezer for 6-7 hours. 

Blend it again for 10 minutes, add walnuts and keep the ice-cream to set in the freezer. 
Garnish it with honey and almonds and serve chilled.

Note : If you don't like honey, you can use sugar to taste instead while boiling the milk.
