Veg Frankie recipe step by step


Veg Frankie recipe is a healthy recipe, which can be packed for School Tiffin box  also.Most of the children don,t eat their meals properly and always demand fast food, which is not good for their health. Specially, they don,t like to eat chapati and vegetables, which is a biggest problem of Moms.
This Veg Frankie is the solution to your everyday problem. I have included 70% of  chapati, vegetables and cheese in the recipe and 30% of Macaroni, so that kids get attracted towards it. Innovating healthy recipes is my hobby. I hope you find this recipe very useful and yummy. So, let us start.

Preparation time - 30 minutes

Servings - 4 Frankie

Recipe ingredients for Macaroni:

1 cup Macaroni

1and half cup milk
1/2 cup grated Mozzarella cheese 
few drops of refined oil
salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon black pepper ( coarsely grind )
1/2 teaspoon corn flour
1 teaspoon refined oil

Recipe ingredients for Frankie:
1 Medium Capsicum
1 Medium Cucumber
1 big Onion
1 Medium Tomato
1/2 cup cabbage shredded
salt to taste
1 cup wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon refined oil
salt to taste
water as per requirement
Tomato ketchup as per requirement
Recipe instructions:
Wash and peel the cucumber and cut it into small pieces, you can remove the seeds or keep them.
Wash and cut the Capsicum into thin slices.
Peel the skin of the onion and chop it finely.
Wash the tomato, remove the seeds and chop it finely.
boil 3 cups of water, add 1 cup macaroni, salt to taste and few drops of refined oil , and cook on medium flame stirring for 4-5 minutes. 


Turn off the gas and cover it with a lid and keep for 6-7 minutes.
Transfer the Macaroni to a strainer and wash with cold water and keep aside. 
Heat a non-stick pan, add 1 teaspoon refined oil, add 1/2 teaspoon corn flour, saute for a while and add one and half cup of milk.


Cook stirring on medium flame, when it comes to boil, add Macaroni and black pepper powder.
Now add grated cheese and cook stirring till it becomes thick and creamy.
Turn of the gas and let it cool little.
Meanwhile, take 1 cup wheat flour, salt to taste and 1/2 teaspoon refined oil in a bowl and knead a chapati like soft dough.
Make medium balls of the dough.
Roll the balls to a big chapati as shown in the picture.


Heat a skillet, place the chapati over it, flip it when done from the one side and flip using a chimta third time and puff it on gas by removing the skillet as shown in the picture.
Prepare all the chapati in the same way.


Apply some cow ghee ( optional) on the surface of chapati.
Now spread some Macaroni, then chopped vegetables and some Tomato ketchup.
Roll the chapati and fix it with a tooth pic.
Yummy Veg Frankie is ready.
Serve immediately.


Tips to make Veg Frankie

  • Make a big chapati so enough stuffing can be filled.
  • Chop the vegetables finely and slice thinly.
  • Keep the Macaroni creamy, add more milk if feels dry.
