Red chawli ( black eyed peas red ) recipe is an instant pot recipe. Best healthy and quick recipe when you have less time for cooking.
Red chawli is very low in calories and high in fiber. It is fat free and full of nutrients like magnesium, calcium and iron. It is also rich in protein.
Earlier, I have shared three different recipes of black eyed peas white, like lobia gravy, lobia dahi vada, lobia methi dhokla which were liked very much. We can also make Dahi vada with red chawli. I am sharing the link of those recipes at the end of recipe, in case you have missed those recipes.
Red chawli also tastes very good, so all will like to eat it. It is not very hard, so no overnight soaking is required. But if you can soak it for an hour, it will get cooked quickly otherwise you need 4 to 5 whistles. If you are a working women, you can make the paste at night and refrigerate it, so in the morning you will need just 10 minutes to prepare it. Red chawli goes well with jeera rice and raita.
