Vegetable Dalia recipe
Vegetable Dalia recipe is my favorite dinner recipe. My son also loves it. Dalia is a complete meal rich in fiber, fulfills daily requirement of minerals.
People also eat Dalia in Breakfast, but I have a yummy recipe of Vegetable Dali that can be served as perfect healthy Dinner.
We all know that it is advised to take light dinner for being healthy.
This vegetable Dalia recipe is best if you follow the light dinner advise.
Kids don,t like to eat Dalia, but I am sure if you try this recipe, they will demand it everyday.
I have used vegetables, onions and little cow ghee to make this recipe. People think that ghee is unhealthy, but cow ghee is very good for health and should be included in your daily diet during winters.
Best healthy meal to prepare when you are short on time or want to have a light Dinner. Can be prepared in 10 minutes if vegetables are chopped in advance.
You can use refined oil if you wish, but the authentic taste of this dish will come if prepared in ghee.
No spices are used except Maggie masala, which gives a very nice aroma and taste to the dish.

Recipe
ingredients:
1 cup Dalia ( Broken wheat or cracked wheat )
1/2 cup green peas
1/2 cup carrot peeled and cut into pieces
1/2 cup Capsicum cut into pieces
1 medium onion peeled and chopped
1 tbsp cow ghee
3 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 Maggie Masala sachet
Recipe instructions:
Heat 1 tbsp cow ghee in a pressure cooker.
Add onions and saute till they turn pink. Keep the flame low.
Now add capsicum and 1/4 teaspoon salt and saute for a minute.
Add green peas, carrot and capsicum and stir fry for 2 minutes.
Finally, add 1 cup Dalia and cook continuously stirring for 5 minutes.
Mix 1 sachet Maggie Masala and saute.
Pour 3 cups water, mix well and close the lid.
Pressure cook it for 1 whistle. turn off the gas.
Wait for 6-7 minutes and open the lid.
Very healthy and delicious Vegetable Dalia is ready to serve.
Serve hot. Don,t require any supplement to be served with it.
You can also use some french beans if you wish.
I have used 1/4 teaspoon salt because we eat less salt.
You can use some more salt if you wish but be careful because Maggie masala already has salt, so don,t use it in excess or it will become salty.
One important tip, don,t use machine cut Dalia, buy it from an Atta chakki. It should look like as shown in the picture.

Tips for making Vegetable Dalia recipe.
- Roast the Dalia for 5 minutes on low flame so that it won,t get sticky.
