                       Cabbage Curry Recipe



Cabbage Curry recipe is my new innovative recipe of Cabbage. We often get bored of eating the vegetables made with same recipe regularly. So, I always try innovative recipes. This Cabbage Curry recipe is very quick and delicious recipe.
Cabbage is packed with vitamin C,A and K. Improves digestion, lowers blood pressure and cholestrol level.
Contains fiber,folate, potassium and magnaseum.
Crunchy stir fried cabbage added to tomato curry, really tastes different and yummy.
I have used onions, green chilli and regular spices. Best recipe for working women. Goes well with chapati or paratha.
Let us start the recipe.

Preparation & cooking – 20 minutes 

Servings -2


Recipe ingredients:

1 cup cabbage shredded

2 big tomatoes

1 medium onion

1/2 green chilli

some cilantro for garnish

salt to taste

1/2 tea spoon red chili powder

1/4 tea spoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin coriander powder

pinch of garam masala

1/4 tea spoon mustard seeds

1 tbsp refined oil 

pinch of asafoetida


Recipe instructions:

Wash and boil the tomatoes for 5 minutes.

Let it cool completely. Make a smooth puree in a blender.

Chop the green chilli and onion finely.

Heat 1/2 tbsp refined oil in a non -stick pan.

Add mustard seeds, when they splutter, add pinch of asafoetida and then shredded cabbage, chopped green chilli, some salt and stir fry for 2-3 minutes.















Transfer it to a plate. Heat rest of the refined oil in the same pan.

Add chopped onions and saute till they turn transclucent.

Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander cumin powder, garam masala and salt to taste and mix well.

Pour tomato puree and cook stirring occasionally till it leaves the edges of pan.

Add 2 cups or more water and cook for 5 minutes.

Turn off the gas. While serving, first add the curry to the bowl, Spread the fried cabbbage over it , garnish with cilantro and serve with chapati. 

Delicious and healthy Cabbage Curry is ready.
