Sprout Moth vegetable is my favourite vegetable. You can cook it when you get bored with routine vegetables or when you don't have any vegetable at home.

During rainy season, you can make sprouts easily, so this is the perfect season to make it.

Goes perfect with kadhi. Very easy and simple yet healthy recipe. So let us start.

Recipe Ingredients:

2 Cup Moth

1 large onion

1 small lemon

Some cilantro

1 green chili

1 tbsp refined oil

1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

Pinch of asafoetida

1 teaspoon red chilli powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon cumin coriander powder

Salt to taste

Recipe instructions:

Clean and wash the Moth and soak them in water  for 5-6 hours.

Tie them in a muslin cloth and hang it on a sink over night.

In the morning you will get sprouts of the Moth.

Boil water in a pan turn off the gas and add the sprouts to the hot water for 3-4 minutes and drain the water.

Chop the onion green chili and cilantro finely.

Now heat 1 tbsp refined oil in a non- stick pan.

Add cumin seeds, when they crackle add pinch of asafoetida, onion and green chili and saute till the onion turn transculent.

Then and all the spices, sprouts and mix well.

Add 1 Cup of water cover the lid and cook till the water evaporates.

Turn off the gas, add lemon juice chopped cilantro and serve with kadhi and chapati.
