Wheat jaggery shakarpare
Wheat jaggery shakarpare is an evening snack made from whole wheat flour and jaggery. Very crispy crunchy snack loved by all age groups.
Becomes totally healthy if prepared in microwave or air fryer.
So let us start.
500 gm whole wheat flour
250 gm jaggery
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder ki
2 tbsp refined oil
Refined oil for deep frying as per requirement
Recipe instructions :
Soak the jaggery in equal quantity of water over night. Seive the flour in a mixing bowl.
Add 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, 1/2: teaspoon of cardamom powder and 2 tbsp refined oil to the flour and knead a dough with the help of jaggery water.
Rest for 10 minutes. Knead once again.
Now make equal balls of the dough.
Roll them one by one as shown in the picture.
Cut diamond shape with a sharp knife.
Heat refined oil in a pan. Deep fry all the shakarpare on low flame till brown and crispy.
Yummy shakarpare are ready. Store in an air tight container and consume upto 15 days.
You can also try them in air fryer for healthy version.
